Munnsville, NY (November 1, 2009) – Why walk or stand when you can ride?  That is a question posed last fall when Ferris introduced its brand new Evolution™ zero-turn mower.  A compact rider offering superior performance and operator comfort, the Evolution™ quickly revolutionized the compact zero-turn mowing category.

Performance
     Initially introduced in two models—a 19-hp Kawasaki engine with 36” mowing deck or 27-hp Kawasaki engine with 48” deck—the Evolution™ line-up has grown to include three additional models.  There is now a model featuring a 20-hp Kawasaki engine either a 48” or 52” deck and one using a  26-hp Kawasaki engine with 52” cutting deck.  

     With a forward speed of up to 10 mph, the Evolution™ can mow up to 5.1 acres per hour (based on 80% efficiency).  And thanks to its overall compact, low stance, it is ideal for mowing in tight places or highly landscaped areas.

Operator Comfort

     Featuring exclusive, patent pending suspension technology from Ferris, the Evolution™ places its operator in the most ideal ergonomic position for mowing.  The operator’s back, shoulders and neck are aligned to minimize discomfort and fatigue. The operator's weight is evenly distributed providing longer comfort throughout the day. Integrated suspension technology heightens the riding experience and delivers supreme comfort and performance. 
     The mower’s controls are easy to use and placed right at the operator’s fingertips.  Importantly, the operator is ideally positioned for getting on-and-off the mower quickly and easily to remove debris from the job site or move on to the next one.
